I believe there’s a beginning, middle, and end to every story—even the unfinished ones.

I’m a seasoned writer, content creator, and learning designer. I specialize in translating complex concepts in technology and business into language that everyone can understand.

I’ve spent over ten years designing interactive online learning experiences built on relevant, engaging real-world scenarios.

You’ll often find me collaborating with other creatives: videographers, graphic designers, and media producers. My fascination with words and how they mediate our experience of the world is the through line of all my professional work.

A decade of experience designing online learning for adults

I’ve transformed workplace challenges into multi-media online courses for McKinsey, ?What If! Innovation, and Microsoft. In roles from content lead to instructional designer, I have directed editorial for instructional animations, expert videos, documentary-style shorts, quizzes, and infographics. I love mining source material and interviewing experts and clients to reconstruct their real-world experiences and knowledge into useable takeaways for learners.

Poetry and science can live in the same sentence

I’ve produced radio and podcasts on poetry, and write regularly on advances in science, from genomics to soft robotics to anti-aging technologies. All told, I’ve probably interviewed more than a hundred poets and scientists in the course of my career. I also believe poetry and science can live in the same sentence.

“Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.”
— Soren Kierkegaard

Supporting creatives in finishing their projects

I started Finish It in 2020 to help people find flow, support, and friendship while working on self-directed creative projects.

Finish It is a weekly newsletter, virtual workshops, accountability groups, and an Instagram community. I’ve delivered workshops on “How to Keep Going” and “5 Steps to Finish It” with the following partners: Creative Mornings, Revel Eleven, University of Luxembourg, and Just Buffalo Literary Center.
